Domaine Dureuil-Janthial

Vincent Dureuil took over the family estate in Rully with his wife Céline in 1994. Under their leadership, what began as a traditional winery grew into one of the leading names in the Côte Chalonnaise. With strong roots in the region, and a clear vision of terroir, they steadily built their reputation. In total, Dureuil-Janthial boasts over 20 hectares.

Early on, they adopted a sustainable approach. Care is taken in the vineyards: old vines are retained, the soil is worked without herbicides and harvesting is done entirely by hand. The aim is always to achieve a pure expression of the vineyard, with respect for nature and attention to detail in every step of the process.

Subdued and precise vinification follows in the cellar. The white wines undergo gentle pressing and ferment largely in oak, with a modest proportion of new barrels. For the reds, they are often fully destemmed, after which a cooler soaking, fermentation with indigenous yeasts and maturation in barrel ensure finesse and balance.

Domaine Dureuil-Janthial’s wines are known for their purity and tension, with refined minerality and striking precision. Both the white and red Rullys show the elegance of Côte Chalonnaise, but always with a depth and energy that make Vincent Dureuil’s handwriting clearly identifiable.
