Privacy

Our aim is to introduce visitors to exceptional wines from Burgundy. Of course, that includes our online shop. But our goal is not to gather data. Our business model is clear: selling wine. And in our opinion, this does not include shadowy sales tactics such as placing all kinds of advertising cookies and trackers. So we don’t do that.

Once an order is placed, certain personal data is required. After all, the order has to be delivered. A name, address and e-mail address are therefore necessary. This data is not shared with third parties.

Payments go through banks and payment providers. Mollie, a so-called ‘payment service provider’, is used. Mollie processes the bank transaction. Naturally, Mollie guarantees the security of the connection and data. A processing agreement has been concluded with Mollie.

Orders are shipped with PostNL. This involves exporting data to PostNL’s system. This is necessary to deliver an order and to send the track&trace via e-mail. A processing agreement has also been concluded with PostNL. This party uses personal data exclusively to be able to deliver the shipment.

Data retention

Personal and order data are stored. Under ‘my account’, these data can be viewed. Orders and invoices can also be viewed there. Data can of course be deleted. To do so, please send an e-mail to bonjour@vinsdebourgogne.nl.

Measuring website traffic

Website traffic is (partly) measured, this is done with software from our own server and therefore not with Google Analytics. Data – anonymised – is stored on our own server and thus not shared with third parties (and certainly not with Google). After 365 days, that data is deleted.

Google Fonts

The Google fonts (fonts) used on this site are loaded locally from our own server and therefore not called via Google. The advantage is that Google cannot read visitors’ data this way.

Cookies

The use of cookies is limited to functional cookies. This website uses WordPress/Woocommerce. This so-called ‘content management system’ places certain cookies in order to function properly. Think, for example, of being able to log in – and stay logged in – to an account. Or when a product is added to a shopping basket. These cookies do not track. No Google Analytics is used and therefore no analytical cookies are set. Advertising cookies or trackers are not used.

Security data

Website and database – and thus personal data – are secured in various ways:

Connection via https
DNSSEC is enabled
Patchman (scan for vulnerabilities)
Dedicated managed hosting (ISO27001 and NEN7510 certified)
Firewall to block ports from SSH and FTP, among others
24/7 monitoring of server
Whitelist IPs for access
