Domaine Prunier-Damy

Domaine Prunier-Damy is located in Auxey-Duresses, a charming village in the Côte de Beaune, next to Meursault. The family business has a long history, with the first vineyards being cultivated here as early as 1712. Today, the 12th generation, led by Justine Prunier, is at the helm. Step by step, the family built the estate into a reference in southern Burgundy, with a focus on authenticity and respect for the terroir.

The estate has around 15 hectares of vineyards, spread across Auxey-Duresses, Meursault, Monthelie, Pommard, Beaune and Volnay. As such, they cover a broad palette of appellations, from regional Bourgognes to Premier Cru’s. The diversity of terroirs – from chalky slopes to clayey soils – gives the wines a distinct character of their own.

Work in the vineyards is sustainable, with great attention to the health of the vines and soil. The harvest is largely manual and strictly selected so that only perfectly ripe grapes reach the cellar. In vinification, they take a classic approach: fermentation with indigenous yeasts and careful aging in oak barrels, only some of which are new, to preserve the finesse and expression of the fruit.

Domaine Prunier-Damy’s wines reflect the elegance and diversity of the Côte de Beaune. Their white wines – particularly from Meursault and Auxey-Duresses – show tension, ripe fruit and fine minerality. The red wines, from villages like Pommard and Volnay, combine power and structure with subtle refinement. These are wines that remain true to their origins, while carrying the signature of a family that has worked in harmony with Burgundy vineyards for generations.
