Description

Made from grapes from the ‘monopole’ vineyard Clos de la Maréchale. Located in the southern part of Nuits-Saint-Georges and classified as Premier Cru. Where the chalky soil and sheltered location produce wines with more finesse than one usually associates with this appellation. The domaine covers some 14 hectares, with parcels in Chambolle-Musigny, Nuits-Saint-Georges and the prestigious Grand Cru Musigny, among others. Mugnier works with a deep respect for the terroir: the vineyards are managed without herbicides, with minimal intervention and with great attention to biodiversity. In its approach to viticulture and vinification, restraint plays the leading role. Mugnier lets nature do the work, intervening only when absolutely necessary.
