Grand Cru

Top of the pyramid. Only 33 vineyards, including famous names like Romanée-Conti, Montrachet and Clos de Vougeot, are allowed to carry the prestigious Grand Cru status. Only 1 per cent of vineyards in Burgundy have this classification. This makes the wines scarce, sought-after and pricey. Grand Cru prices can be astronomical, with bottles ranging from hundreds to tens of thousands of euros. Because of their limited availability, these wines can also often only be found at specialised wine shops or auctions. They are cherished by collectors and offer an unparalleled experience for the true connoisseur.
